Background

6Design founder, Evan Solida, is an accomplished industrial designer and entrepreneur with 25 years of experience in consumer product development. Prior to forming 6Design, Solida was a Senior Industrial Designer for Confluence Watersports, one of the largest paddlesports manufacturers in the world. Since 2004, he has worked on over 150 kayaks for numerous brands including Hobie, Crescent, Dagger, Eddyline, Bonafide, Hurricane, Perception and Wilderness Systems. He was also Industrial Designer for 3-time Tour de France champion, Greg Lemond's brand of premium bikes, indoor trainers and related accessories. Other notable designs include the Alpen Bicycle Storage Capsule, the Citibike rental bike and Blue Competition Cycles Triad SL triathlon and AC1 aero road bikes. Solida's collection of successful products stem from his ability to take inspiration from a wide variety of industries and apply his extensive experience in manufacturing combined with sleek aesthetic.

An experienced competitive cyclist, he was struck by a car while training in 2007. Afterwards, he turned entrepreneur by starting Cerevellum with the help of an angel investment group in Greenville, SC to bring out the world's first cyclometer with rearview camera. Later known as the Hindsight 35, it received an enormous amount of media attention and the first production units were delivered to customers in 2012. Solida received the U.S. utility patent 8,643,722 for "Rear-View Display System for Bicycles" in early 2014.
