Alpen Bike Capsule

With a rough concept for a unique way of keeping his trusted steed protected from theft and the elements, the founder of Alpen came to me for help in bringing his idea on a cocktail napkin sketch to life. While adhering to the basic shape envisioned for the bicycle storage capsule, I developed it for production. This involved changing much of how the original idea functioned and making it for rotomolding.

Originally designed for consumer use, the Alpen capsule has quickly gained huge acceptance for corporate offices, luxury apartments and hotels. Seeing this new trend, the second generation Alpen Basecamp was designed to better fit the needs of customers who need more space for their urban bikes, accessories and the ability to use their phone for the Bluetooth lock.
